Help Monica uncover the secrets and tragedies of her childhood in Phenomenon: City of Cyan! 20 years ago a dangerous experiment destroyed most of Cyan City and turned many of the citizens into strange creatures. Explore the deserted city, overcome supernatural enemies, and find powerful allies on your quest to find out what happened to Monica's parents in this fantastic Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game.
It's almost like she intentionally emphasized all the wrong parts of words. I have always loved finding objects from a list rather than by silhouette or by reading through storybook pages, or those tedious match scenes where I must find the matching pairs stashed behind the leaves in a tree or behind items in junk piles. I was pleasantly surprised to see totally different puzzles and unique challenges. These elements not only take you out of the story, they drive you about three states away from the story. I love the blend of fantasy and sci-fi and although I generally prefer the lushly hand-painted style of art, I really thought the crisp visuals fit in well with the setting. And that's why it's nice to step back and slip into something a little more It is not terribly difficult, and the hint system is very useful if you do get stuck. Date published: The characters didn't make much sense, although I thought the Keeper and the father looked like the same person, only one was ravaged. The voice-overs leave much to be desired especially Monica Dipp our heroine. This is once only play for me. Even better, the map told you where to go when you needed some help.
The story line is there and it's interesting enough but the characters are annoying and unlikeable. Okay, let's stop right there. A mixture of HO and puzzles, very much my thing. If I had my way, the current batch of HOPA developers would take a look at some of the older games that have very high reviews and then perhaps go back to the basics of these excellent older games. Well done, to the whole game building crew. I enjoyed it so much I may just play it again for the sheer beauty of it. I love having a real journal that gives information rather than links to videos within the game. Date published: Unique Rating Phenomenon: City of Cyan Review I'm waist deep in the semester, waist deep in homework, and waist deep in annoying roommates. Like I said, the visuals are pretty sick; this is just plain art we're talking about if you discount the clunky animations and stick to the painterly backgrounds. Phenomenon: City of Cyan is great for all those gamers who couldn't care less about the story and who just want to find stuff. The characters didn't make much sense, although I thought the Keeper and the father looked like the same person, only one was ravaged.

Hope this continues and that the premium games are not the trend. We need more like it. Please note that we can't help you out if you write about it in your post. The few HOG scenes were more interactive with a hidden scene within the scene. There are clever implementation else where, such as when you have to complete a puzzle on Can map. The only downfall in the game is the rather abrupt ending. I want more games like this!!! Monica's voice actor is the worst offender and, you guessed it, FBI: Paranormal Case has the vast majority of The Time Portal lines. Monica, now a magically babelicious redhead, is back in Cyan City after receiving a mysterious note that her mother may still be alive. Hope we will have more like it! You'll be treated to gorgeous environments and some good brain-benders, but terribad voice acting lurks just beneath the surface, ready to strike! And the gameplay is solid, with tough hidden object Cyxn and plenty of find-and-use goodness. But, I am replaying it again! Wish more like this out Charma: The Land of Enchantment like this one. But Phenomenon: City of Cyan, it is just the first installment in the series.
The HOS are bold and clear yet objects are not obvious. Even better, the map told you where to go when you needed some help. Discuss with other players! Great story line, vibrant colors, fabulous puzzle within puzzle. I immediately bought the next two in the series, and am rather sad that there are no more at this time. It shows active areas. The graphics are top rate. I needed more!! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by zoldie from creative puzzles, nice plot Feeling rather jaded to all the versions of the same few themes, and stumbled across this series. The Hidden Object scenes were interactive and included a scene-within-the-scene feature. Note that your post won't be visible right away: our team checks it before we post it publicly. Story line was very enjoyable as it pulled you into helping Monica find her mother. The few HOG scenes were more interactive with a hidden scene within the scene. But I digress. Phenomenon: City of Cyan is great for all those gamers who couldn't care less about the story and who just want to find stuff.
Hope we will have more like it! Sadly, the game ended like dropping off a cliff. The scenes are gorgeous and colorful and a delight to wander around in for that reason. Add to that the fact that much of the in-game text obviously wasn't Phenomenon: City of Cyan by a native English writer. Yes, they are still Green Ranch object but with very refreshing twists. Write a post! Otherwise, it was beautifully made, and the HOGs were good, a little more interesting with the addition of built-in extra puzzles in the time function. I liked the story, too. There was quite a bit of going back and forth but the game map was exceptionally helpful with this. I love the blend of fantasy and sci-fi and although I generally prefer the lushly hand-painted style of art, I really thought the crisp visuals fit in well with the setting. On to the next one!

The voice-overs leave much to be desired especially Monica Dipp our heroine. You know who you are, you dirty cutscene skippers. I assume a sequel is planned, but the ending is so abrupt that I really thought something had gone wrong with the game when it ended. Mini-games are fun, original and rather easy. Really enjoyed this one. But, I am replaying it again! Otherwise the game leaves much to be desired. Monica, now a magically babelicious redhead, is back in Cyan City after receiving a mysterious note that her mother may still be alive. Took me a minute to realize I had finished it. Is anyone who they claims to be?
