Mild Spoiler Alert: Unfortunately there are only three venues, Akkad's garden, Royal library and Alexandria lighthouse. Though the costumes are spot on, movements, unfortunately, seem a bit stiff, skin a tad too smooth and shiny for reality. The The Island: Castaway are easy enough that I solved most of them on my own, and hard enough to make me feel good about Kingdom Chronicles 2. Puzzles Some players will consider this an unusually short game. Check what kind of day Clropatra: is for you often by right clicking and then clicking on your zodiac sign on the lower left. Right out of the gate, this game shows you how complex and immersive it is, which makes its lack of smooth mechanics all the more jarring. Certainly the most unusual non-player character by far is an old crocodile named Souchous. For example, clicking on an object just right will take you out of the inventory screen and have the object in the upper corner, but from there there's no clue how to use the object or what to do with it, or why it's even up there. A fascinating concept--astrology--gets used very poorly as apparently some objects are visible when the stars ruling your character's chosen sign are propitious or ill-fated, but invisible at other times. If done correctly Thomas states the solvent is done. The story is alright, but it doesn't make optimal use of the interesting setting and the characters are highly underdeveloped. Nice ambient sound, lively soundtrack and great use of surround sound for audio effects. Thomas also meets the Queens and a whole host of their mysterious characters. Kheops Studios has once again produced a game that does what games are supposed to do—entertain, and they did it well. Combining inventory is sometimes necessary and is easily done by dragging one object to another. All in all this is a reasonably fun game but I cannot really recommend it since most other Kheops games are better. My favorite location was the Isle of Pharos.
