Hi all. The graphics in Ghosts of the Past are nothing to rave about. I did turn down the music and ambient noise. I have played hundreds of games but I don't remember a Viking storyline. The storyline is a new take, which I liked a lot. The poorly operating Hint button; the orb, which glows-but no energy to use it just yet- so that only defeated the purpose. Kudos though for no sparkles or black bar tips on the hardest mode. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by skullfun from ERS seems to be going in a new direction Unfortunately, it does not transport you to other locations. I for one feel my intelligence being insulted to some degree when these things occur. Many items in inventory items, many things to remember, becktracking sometimes. Absolutly CE worthy. The second one I found quite amusing! Okay, first of all, what idiot would speed down a dark slippery road on a rainy night! The gameplay was great and the visuals were excellent.

Other Extras Eeition in the Collector's Edition can be found in the checklist below. I feel it's time that ERS perform an update of sorts to remove some of the Ghost and unsharp scenery. Graphics were crisp and storyline well thought out. Voice overs were very good as well and fit the character and what was happening. I did turn down the music and ambient noise. Great fun to play but not really challenging enough for me - finished well within the time limit playing on most difficult. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. You also have an orb to collect paranormal energy, which in turn eliminates the dark entity for a while. My one and only criticism is the silly to me voices that say "Yes" every time you accomplish something. Well, the answer is quite a bit since there is the inevitable car crash and you must extricate yourself right off the bat. Your Sheriff's badge allows you to go directly to the Evidence board Chef Solitaire: USA you will hang up pictures and descriptions of the people you are investigating, and then you need to place items of evidence under the corresponding person. Each Battle Slots and HOP ties into the story. Despite that, credits go to the voice-overs which are usually on-point with nice lip-syncing. Maybe open the whole game to us except just a few doors at the end?
Overall I personally do not see this as worthy of a CE purchase price. Great map that allowed you to instantly travel to the next scene. I've never been a fan of ERS games, however, I do give each game a fair demo. However, toward the end, I started to feel like the just needed to get the game done. A new ERS game, yay! All of this makes the gameplay more challenging and fun. Also fun are the HO's. There really is nothing to warrant this as a CE. And no pink and purple fairies, thank you! Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by tekeguy from My Sleeper Game I had no intention of buying this game but selected it as an add-on to a collector's edition sale. Imagination with these Developers is just amazing. Too, too much. Should she not have some accent? It's so disappointing.
Both were so simplistic it was ridiculous. For me it's a no buy, but you might like it. The effects and sounds are fine, neither special nor as spooky as we have expected. I for one feel my intelligence being insulted to some degree when these things occur. Too many blue and green, pink Battle Slots purple colors. The poorly operating Hint button; the orb, which glows-but no energy to use it just yet- so that only defeated the purpose. In any event if you choose not to locate items in the HOS Luxor Evolved there is a Tetris style puzzle available to play. I loved the extras with Virtual Families 2 ability to replay the mini-games and hidden object scenes.
In certain locations you have to find 5 spirits energies to get a part of the story. The ability for the game player to customize game play as to hints, skip time, degree of difficulty etc. Thank God for a map though! Worth the half off I paid for it! The Bonus Chapter seems to be quite long too. The gameplay was great and the visuals were excellent. Sometimes we are required to find morphing objects, collect items etc. So she somehow goes off the deep end and becomes a villianess bent on some kind of revenge and here's how we get to be part of the action. Really good. Helped by his rather too helpful deputy, he sets about compiling the evidence on an evidence board and pursuing his ghostly adversary. With the custom mode you can reduce the hint and skip to 5 seconds which I love. I haven't even bothered writing reviews as the games offered of late are so poor. I can't wait for this weekend sale. The voiceovers are very good and, yes, lip-sync is back - thank you ERS! A definite Pick up for me!
Hidden object scenes are few and far between, but each of them is well-made and pretty smart. It was challenging sometimes. Other Extras included in the Collector's Edition can be found in the checklist below. The only collectible was rune stones and they were prominently placed. However, it is a lengthy bonus game with several new areas to explore. Other than the story line, these are the game pluses: 1. Overall I personally do not see this as worthy of a CE purchase price. I always hear other reviewers complaining about too many HOS, well here's your game! Then again I grew up in the 70's so my memory isn't very good. I have played hundreds of games but I don't remember a Viking storyline. So I think the CE here is worth it. Also fun are the HO's. The hidden objects are finding and replacing objects; the mini-puzzles are good.
