There are four modes of difficulty - calm sea, gale, hurricane, and custom - keeping with the oceanic theme of the game. A transportable map and a compass that dissolves bad energy. Voice overs were done well facial features could have used some help. As a result - five stars from me. Glad I gave this game a chance, it gave me several very pleasant hours. There are 8 achievements, plus 37 seashells to collect, and 13 morphing items in the HOPs. I really enjoy reading both the negative and positive reviews but I especially get a kick out of the negative reviewers' comments because I can often relate plus some of the comments make me laugh out loud! I had no trouble at all roaming around finding clues and getting items. Your quest is to find out what happened with your parents, which gone missing on their ship twenty years ago in Rite of Passage 4: The Lost Tides CE. Try it and see! I enjoyed the story. But to do so you will have to commit dangerous journey through the seas, meeting demonic possession and even mermaids! Twenty years ago your family took the Everlast Cruise Ship on vacation. I would have preferred fewer "assemble the picture" type minigames but I assume those were included to provide a range of difficulty so the game would appeal to both beginners and more advanced players. I really enjoyed the game, liked the characters and could have carried on playing all day. It may be the very last time we saw those people so a little emotion, please? It was easy to navigate and remember where items in the inventory belonged and what direction I should take. The bonus game is great too, again I was very emotional. The game combines beautiful graphics, immersive music and sound effects and quality voice acting with enough action sequences throughout the game to keep you on your toes - explosions, cave-ins and a frightening shipwreck. The HO scenes were typical for this developer - more interesting than just simple piles of stuff and the mini-games were kind of cool. Rite of Passage: The Lost Tides Developer rock star Isaias Vallejo has gone beyond the call of duty this time, setting himself and his great team a new standard to meet. I enjoyed the games. The CC edition was worth the money as it was all new scenes and storyline. It is actually possible to get all of the achievements.

I enjoyed the engineering-type puzzles that let us build items like the flying machine. As a result Rite of Passage: The Lost Tides five stars from me. A stormy night, strange fog rolling in, a female creature arises in the sea. I also like the custom feature of changing the game level.

This is the fourth in this series and they are all different and interesting. As always, good extras but since I am playing the demo I couldnt check them all. Mostly list type. There are a good variety of mini-games which had a few new ones I hadn't seen before and I enjoyed playing them all. You have created an ingenious game! Twenty years later, the boat - and the mermaid - reappear. I personally think you would Sunshine Acres happy with either one.
